Being a natural ecosystem, the way it is designed, it will operate year around in our climate zone. The kids swim in it in the summer and ice skate on it in the winter. Natural ecosystems are an ever, growing, evolving feature that will only continue to become more and more breath-taking as it matures. This family happens to home-school their children and having this feature in their backyard is literally like having an outdoor classroom right out the back door. Being able to design and build projects like these, that literally change people's lives, leaves you with a feeling that is hard to describe. It reminds me every day of how lucky I am to get to do what I love to do every single day.
