Ambience
By Dutch Barn Landscaping
Existing pergola was impractical of the client's vision, it was old and in decay. Their direction was to create a new, exciting and inviting space. They wanted shade, wind protection and a rain safe area. Above all, a comfortable and relaxing entertainment area. They were adamant about not wanting a traditional four post shape roof, or flat open structure and roof, it also had to compliment the house. Demolition took two days, actual construction was completed in three weeks. The fire pit, lighting and landscape required an additional two weeks. The entire structure was made with cedar and stained with a semi-transparent product. The barrel vault ceiling I had designed presented the most difficult and challenging aspect of the project but the most appreciated by the client. The reimagined vibe of this living space created the ambience that pleased our client.
