By Nature's Perspective Landscaping
The owners, having recently purchased the home, were eager to personalize the landscape while preserving elements from the previous owner. Although several plants were salvageable, the overall landscape felt disjointed and lacked cohesion. The owners decided to keep the existing concrete walkways, so the planting design needed to soften the harsh straight lines of the paths, fences, and house. With the home’s dramatic architecture as a focal point, the plantings were chosen to enhance the structure. Repeating plantings on either side of the walkway added movement, creating a more dynamic transition through the side yard. The plant palette was carefully selected to complement the home’s bold primary colors while adding texture and depth. Phase one included the side and backyard, and the clients were so thrilled with the results that they proceeded to phase two (the front) just a few months later to complete the vision.
