Sunken Serenity
By Nature's Perspective Landscaping
This circa 1892 historic home sits perpendicular to the street on an oversized L-shaped lot, offering an uninterrupted view of the property. Once owned by the inventor of Tinker Toy, the beautiful landscape had fallen into disrepair. A neglected and underutilized section of the property was recently renovated, enhancing both its beauty and functionality. Key features of the transformation include the installation of a tall evergreen hedge and perennial borders and the creation of a sitting area and landscape around a rehabilitated water feature. This area offers a peaceful retreat and a unique vantage point from which to enjoy the sprawling property and thoughtfully designed plantings. We have maintained the property since the design's installation, ensuring its beauty and health year-round. This project exemplifies the balance of thoughtful design, careful plant selection, and ongoing maintenance, all while preserving the historical charm of this significant property.
