Deerfield Village Hall – Welcoming Waukegan Road
By Milieu Landscaping
The Village of Deerfield was named for Deerfield, Massachusetts, and because of the deer abounding in this area. In 1957, the Village Hall was built at its current location at 850 Waukegan Rd. With time dating the landscape, the recent goal at Village Hall was to create an updated sense of curb appeal while accenting their statue collection and signage of the site. This was accomplished with creating a cohesive design of beautiful sweeping bed lines and a vision of new plant material. Beds were prepped with leaf compost to best address the clay soil. This created a strong foundation when incorporating the new hydrangea, yews, ninebark, serviceberry, penstemon, turtlehead, nepeta, daylilies and seasonal color rotations. The landscape installation compliments the building and its structures inviting guests in with an array of greenery and flowers to provide year-round interest.
