Dickson Design Studio is seeking a Mid-Level Landscape Architect/Designer to help shape commercial developments across the Chicagoland region. We’re looking for someone who is not only technically capable, but genuinely excited about thoughtful design, collaborative problem-solving and client satisfaction.
The Opportunity
• Contribute to design direction and project storytelling
• Lead design development from concept through construction documents
• Collaborate directly with clients, municipalities and internal team
• Produce high-quality drawings, visualization models and presentations
• Participate in site visits and oversee implementation

This role offers a clear path toward Project Manager/Senior Designer, with opportunities to lead projects and mentor junior staff as you grow.
The ideal candidate brings:
Required:
- Landscape Architecture degree or similar field (horticulture, land planning)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Excellent design sensibility and strong graphic composition skills
- Strong knowledge of Zone 5 plants
- Organization, initiative and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced studio environment
Preferred:
- 2D rendering and 3D modeling experience (Photoshop, SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, or similar platforms)
- 3-6 years of experience
