The Business Development Associate is responsible for generating new business for Hanson Landscape, including landscape maintenance and snow removal services. This role focuses on securing new clients, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to proposal delivery, and ensuring a smooth transition to the account management team. The Associate works closely with ownership and management, supports cross-department collaboration, and helps expand the company’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
-Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
-Generate new sales leads through cold calling, door-to-door outreach, networking, and follow-up on internal leads.
-Develop and retain clients to build a profitable and sustainable customer base.
-Prepare and present high-quality proposals that support property improvement and company sales goals.
-Facilitate the transition of new clients to the management team after closing.
-Adhere to all company and industry safety guidelines.
-Maintain ongoing communication with new clients throughout the season.
-Assist in expanding the company into new business areas.
-Support onboarding and development of additional Business Development Associates.
-Maintain high levels of phone and in-person activity to drive new business.
-Demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, communication, negotiation, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Requirements:
-Minimum 3 years of experience in the landscape industry or a related field
-Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
